My kids love to watch “home videos”. I regret that I haven’t been great with a video camera the last few years. It seemed more important when they were younger. So in conjunction with my idea for “A Day in the Life” I compiled a slide show for them with some of our favorite photos from the summer so far. A lot of it consists of photos just taken on an average day around here… true to my word, I followed them around with my camera in an effort to capture them “in their element”. I didn’t pose them or tell them to “look at me and smile!” And I love the result. I look at these photos and think about the cute way my youngest cocks her head to the side, and the way one of my son’s smiles takes up his whole face! Endearing details that will be but a faded memory had I not caught them on camera. These are precious moments to me!
