Must blog more!

I tend to let the sharing “hub” of my work be my facebook page, and I gotta turn that around.  I just seem to get so much more interaction there and it’s easy to post real quickly and be done.  But I am a natural born blogger.  I began back in January of 2006 , if you can believe it.  It was a personal blog that morphed into an inspirational blog, then a crafty blog.  Now that the photography biz is booming I have had to set that blog aside.  And I got lost in the shooting and editing and posting sneak peeks and reaping the rewards of immediate response to my work.  That doesn’t do much for my SEO however, so my goal now is to blog twice a week.  May not always be photos from a session, but it will be something photography and/or me related!

I wanted to mention, for anyone who missed it, that a couple weeks ago I had a tutorial posted at I Heart Faces.  Check it out HERE.  The response has been amazing.  And it’s made my love for what I do, and my commitment to providing something different just soar!

Currently I’m working on a fairy birthday party for my daughter.  We are taking photos of her in her fairy costume tonight.  I’m really excited about it, but a tad nervous as I will be working with some different things for the first time.  It’s always exciting to come up with new ideas but I get discouraged easily, so I am hoping it goes well.  For now, here are some photos I took of Sasha at her Kindergarten field trip last year to Crowe’s Nest Farm.  There is an area there called “Faerie Wood”, and this is where Sasha and I came up with the idea for her birthday party this year to be fairy-themed.  We had a blast there looking at all the little nooks set up for fairies.  It was truly a magical place.  See for yourself! 😉
