- Another fun birth from this summer! Josh and Alicia contacted me early on in her pregnancy, which is always very flattering! We knew that during the last week of my on call period I would be leaving town for a family reunion. But Alicia trusted me to provide her with great images regardless, so she [...]
- This has got to be one of the most touching stories I've ever heard. Sebastian was born on June 20. When he was 4 days old some unfortunate circumstances arose and his parents were no longer able to care for him. Unless a family stepped forward immediately to adopt him, he would be going into the[...]
- Wow. The last few days have been very exciting! Many of you are now visiting from my facebook page and Birth Without Fear where I posted a picture of a baby born in the caul. I am thrilled that you are here and excited to share more images from this phenomenal birth. Mama Lindsey was 41 weeks [...]
- Well, I have had the month of June off and let me tell you - I am ready for some more births! I have 3 coming up very soon and am really excited about them! One may be a breech birth, and breech birth photography is rare because so few mamas that have had a breech birth have had it photographed! Ver[...]
- I got a text from Levi's mama about noon on April 26, 2013 which read "I think this might be the day. Lovely constant low back cramp with a med contraction about 7 apart. I'll keep you in the loop." The about an hour later, a text that said "Probably headed to the birth center in an hour." And 37[...]
- I had a lovely time photographing all of Hugo's adorable features a couple weeks ago. He is so darling, and his Mama Aliisha is just the sweetest, most beautiful soul (and person). P.S. - I think I'm developing an obsession with baby parts. I want to take all my favorite photos of baby hands,[...]
I just love imagination sessions. There is something about the unscripted way kids play that is too perfect for words. A photograph captures them in their element so well. And if I can add a magical touch, such as with this little fairy session, all the better.
I'm always thrilled when a family books me for a lifestyle session in their home. I love capturing a family in their element. I love it when Mom and Dad can let loose and allow the kiddos to be and act themselves in front of the camera... that's the stuff memories are made of! The sticky fingers,[...]
I love a good creative session. Meilee mixed some traditional shots in with with some very fun fantasy-like shots for her senior session. I posted a couple on my facebook page and had a few people request that I blog the whole session (I don't blog everything I shoot). Since we had so much fun an[...]
- There once was a darling little family that lived in a darling little house that recently welcomed a darling little girl... This was just that kind of session. Oodles of cuteness all around! Mama contacted me shortly after the arrival of their baby girl and although it took a few weeks to get her [...]
- Oh I do love this girl. And we had such a fun session. Well, except for our cars getting broken into.:) But the location and the company was fabulous! I'm excited to photograph Kim's birth in July. Her youngest is 2 and when he was born I was just making my foray into birth photography. I [...]
- I had the pleasure of photographing this little bundle's birth last month! Poor Fleur had quite a long journey to bring Rowen earthside. She had signs of early labor for days before her body really got going. So she was pretty worn out by the time Rowen was really ready to arrive. Joey and she h[...]
