MENTORING

My love for inspiring other photographers was born out of a desire to raise the standards of the birth photography industry. Having documented births for nearly a decade, I have a unique perspective on the birth photography landscape; I know where we’ve come from and I’ve overcome many of the barriers that are commonplace to birth photographers, such as building up a solid clientele, being profitable, creating a strong network, being allowed into operating rooms and making art that speaks to all, not just birthing persons. What started as a few speaking gigs (Off-Call Conference, The Baby Summit) and some one-on-one mentoring evolved into two online platforms dedicated to empowering, educating and elevating birth photographers around the world: Birthbound Photographer and Certified Professional Birth Photographer.
